Get Involved

We need your input and ideas! And there are three new ways for you to be involved:

  • Take a short survey

  • Go on a scavenger hunt

  • Map the places you go

Each of these activities is available here, on our website, and you can download and print them, too. We’re also dropping off surveys, scavenger hunts, signs, and stickers at businesses along the corridor, so keep an eye out for our logo to find new ways to participate.

And don’t forget to sign up now for email updates so you always get the latest information!

How can I get involved or learn more?

Our first project factsheet is ready for you to read and share with others. Let us know what questions you have and if you’d like to have hard copies to distribute at your business.

How will project outreach prioritize public health and safety during COVID-19?

Even before COVID-19, the Maui County Planning Department used diverse outreach tools to reach the widest range of participants possible. That won’t change for the Ka‘ahumanu Ave Community Corridor. We hope that in-person meetings will be possible sometime in 2021, but the future is uncertain.

While Maui County has begun to slowly reopen, social distancing requirements remain in effect. We are starting our project outreach with a lot of virtual engagement opportunities and will evaluate other options as we move into the fall. We’ll supplement our digital engagement tools with print and traditional media to ensure broad participation. And we’ve got some other creative ideas up our sleeves as well!
